Serving on the Board of Directors is a very serious task not to be taken lightly due to the financial concerns & confidential matters it must manage, such as maintaining and enhancing the property values of Sharon South Homes and protecting the privacy of each and every of our 203 homeowner accounts.

Only the board is privvy to the knowledge of certain types of homeowner account activity;
The public disclosure by a board member of any such information discussed in executive session is his or her own summary resignation from the board.

These strict measures are observed not to operate in secret or appear underboard,
but rather to maintain, protect, and enhance the overall integrity of the board, the public perception and trust of the board, and the privacy of our homeowners.

Serving on the board is not a means for personal gain
It is not a means to exact a vendetta against another homeowner
Any such attempts are subject to dismissal from office

Serving on the board is not designed to be a personal lobbying mechanism for a self-appointed, perceived constituency.
Any such motivations destroy the integrity expected of all board members, splinters the community, and weakens the overall value of Sharon South Homes Association.

Decisions and actions taken by the board are made for the benefit of the overall value of Sharon South Homes Association, not for “PR” or for individual popularity contests.

The board works together as a cohesive, communicative, and cooperative group.

Serving on the board is not meant for self-aggrandizement or to provide inappropriate authority beyond those duties provided in the by-laws or any amendments to the by-laws;
such behavior is reprehensible, should not be sought by virtue of holding office, and subjects a board member to removal from office.
Each board member, or anyone interested in running for the board of directors, is absolutely expected to be a homeowner in good standing throughout their term.
An account in arrears will automatically invalidate a board member’s voting rights and is cause for immediate dismissal from the board.

All board members are volunteer and donate their time completelyto the benefit of Sharon South Homes Association.
